Bean
is the Extension agronomist at the Texas A&M Research and
Extension Center in Amarillo, and he works with county agents
and producers in the 21 counties of the Texas Panhandle regions
on grain crop

crop production issues. This involves designing and implementing
demonstrations, research studies, and educational programs to
address crop production questions. Fact sheets, newsletters,
and news articles are prepared to disseminate research-based
answers to these questions. Individual producers are provided
consultation to address their specific concerns. His program
is focused on traditional and alternative crops grown in the
High Plains of Texas, including corn, cotton, grain sorghum,
soybean, and wheat, among others; and weed control.
