Expertise:
Bordovsky came to work as a Research Agricultural Engineer at
the Lubbock Center in the irrigation program of Bill Lyle in
1978 and was promoted to Research Scientist and Agricultural
Engineer in 1998. His interests are in irrigation system design
and management for water and energy conservation. He has worked
extensively with the development and management of LEPA irrigation
systems and alternative uses of mobile tower/truss irrigation
systems. Current research includes preplant water management
using automated systems, cropping systems using limited water
resources, design and management of subsurface drip irrigation
systems, and site-specific application of irrigation water and
chemicals for relief of crop stresses. He is a member of the
American Society of Agricultural Engineers and is a registered
