Expertise:
Cox is a research assistant with the Texas Agricultural Experiment Station at the North Plains Research Field near Etter where she is a member of the project group led by Thomas Marek, research engineer. Her efforts in precision agriculture include variable rate fertilization, seeding and irrigation over a varying topsoil depth. Cox is also learning several precision agriculture related software, including ArcView, SSToolbox, Site Mate, FarmWorks, and FieldWorker Pro. In addition, Cox is working on the environmental impacts of agriculture through collection of run-off from plots with varying amounts of fertility.
