Expertise:
Dotray joined the Texas Tech University faculty in 1993 and
is currently an assistant professor of weed science. He holds
a joint appointment with Tech (52%), the Texas Agricultural
Experiment Station (24%), and the Texas Agricultural Extension
Service (24%). His responsibilities at the university include
teaching Principles of Weed Science, Modes and Mechanisms of
Herbicide Action, and Tech Transition: The Freshman Seminar.
Dr. Dotray advises or co-advises 8 M.S. and a Ph.D. student.
At the Agricultural Experiment, Dotray has an active research
program examining weed control systems in cotton, peanuts, corn,
and a variety of other crops. He also serves as the Extension
Weed Specialist in the South Plains, District 2.
