Expertise:
Owings is a research associate with the Texas Agricultural Experiment
Station at Bushland where she is a member of the project group
led by Dr. Gerald J. Michels, Jr., entomologist. Her effort
in precision agriculture includes observation, data collection
with infrared and remote sensing technologies. Owings has received
recent training by commercial vendor, Ersi, on the Basics of
Arcview, Introduction to Precision Agriculture, Spatial Analyst
and Avenue, GPS and GIS technologies.
