Expertise:
Wilson is currently resident director of research at the Texas
A&M Agricultural Research and Extension Center in Beaumont,
Texas. He serves as director of the Texas A&M University
Center for Biologically-Intensive Integrated Pest Management.
He is editor of the Journal of Economic Entomology and professor
of entomology at Texas A&M University. He was a convenor
of the Ecology and Population Dynamics session for the XXI International
Congress of Entomology and was elected a second time, by the
International Planning Committee, for the 2000 Congress in Brazil.
Among Wilson's many awards, he was selected for the ESCOP/ACOP
Leadership Development Program in 1998 and received the National
Excellence Award in Integrated Pest Management from the Entomological
Society of America, and the Excellence Award in Integrated Pest
Management from the ESA, Southwestern Branch in 1997.
